Church Symbols

Symbol created from solid bronze.

To the left is a Commissioned Memorial for The Christian Missionary Alliance Church, Wadena Minnesota.

The Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination has four "distinctives" that are symbolized in the logo. These have been integrated into the Sculpture to represent the "Mission" of this Church.

The Symbols are created from solid Bronze. The Globe is Steel. The Piece measures 5 1/2 feet x 5 1/2 feet and hangs at the entrance of the Sanctuary.

Cross icon.

Stands for salvation through the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. (John 3:16; Romans 10:9-10)

Chalice icon.

Represents sanctification, a daily cleansing from sin and power for service through the indwelling Christ by the Holy Spirit. (Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 1:2 Hebrews 9:11-15; 10:10)

Pitcher icon.

Speaks of oil, a symbol of divine life and physical healing that come from the Lord Jesus Christ. (Isaiah. 53:5; Matthew 8:16; 1 Peter 2:24)

Crown icon.

Symbolizes the return to earth of the Lord Jesus Christ as King of kings and Lord of lords. (John 14:1-3; Acts 1:11; Revelation 22)

Globe icon.

Completing Christ’s Commission The globe adds a new dimension to the long-familiar official logo of the C&MA. The four Christ-centered symbols speak of God’s gift of love to all peoples of every generation. They represent what Christ gives of Himself to His people so that He may present them to the Father without fault and with great joy. Now we give because He gave. (Matthew 24:14)
